Seven Hills West Vineyard was planted in 1982 by the Hendricks and McClellan family, some of the real vineyard pioneers in the valley. This was one of the original vineyards planted in the valley, and became the showcase to validate the potential of grape production in the Walla Walla Valley. Seven Hills Vineyard was named as one of the “Top 10 Vineyards in the World” in 2004 by Wine & Spirits Magazine.
Norm McKibben sold the vineyard to Premiere Partners IV in 1999, who added an additional 15 acres of wine grapes for a total of 65 acres of vineyard at Seven Hills West.
Tom Waliser has farmed and managed the vineyard since 1994.
